Still catching up -

After the sip and see for Barnes we went and visited my mom's stepdad and his wife Clara. Charles is the only granfather figure I have ever known. Both my grandfather passed away before I was ever born. Anywho - Charles is a miracle and God obviously has a great purpose for him on this earth. We had a mini party for him celebrating his 90th Birthday. Charles has conquered cancer and many other things in life. Below is my sister with Camille, Emma, my cousin Stacey and her children Christopher, Lauren and Aaron and then me and Barnes.

Charles meeting and holding Barnes for the first time!

Well I guess that pretty much catches me up except for today we are celebrating Barnes turning 3 months! WOW how time flies. However I will have to do that once I get home and load my pictures that we took this morning. In between all of this Barnes has been to TECH tailgating 2 times and loves it! Go DAWGS!!!

Playing catch up -

Well on September 20th my SIL hosted a Sip and See for Barnes. He looked precious and we had a great time!

Big Week for Barnes

So this has been and will be a big week for such a little guy! Thursday we had to go get his 2 month shots. What a nightmare! Abbout 10 minutes before we were supposed to take him I totally freaked out! Cried my eyes out - it is so hard to know that you are about to do something that you know will hurt and make your baby cry! But I decided that I could put my big mama panties on and go too.

Thanks to my dad gor being the hero that I could not be. He held him and endured all of his tears and I stayed out of the room! AWEFUL! I am not sure I will ever be able to take him to get shots. I know it only can get worse as they get older. So that is over! Thank God
Today is TECH's first home game and we are so excited! Barnes cannot wait and his outfit is ready to go!

Then tomorrow to meet my mom's stepdad and my Sookie (aunt)! Big day in Shreveport for his sip and see and my SIL house! Then home to watch the Cowboys play!

GO DAWGS!

Nobody puts Baby in the corner!

Ever since I was a little girl I have always loved Patrick Swayze! Especially in Dirty Dancing! How can you not LOVE that movie?! I remember on the days that I did not go to school I would sit in the back of the studio and watch Dirty Dancing over and over and over and over . . . .

Sadly I would also cry and cry and cry and cry because I wanted to meet Patrick Swayze so incredibly B A D!!!

I do still love Patrick Swayze and still think that Dirty Dancing is one of the best movies EVER MADE! However I no longer cry while watching the movie.

About sixth months ago I upgraded my VHS to a DVD! Crazy, I know! It was rainy on Sunday so we watched all watched the Saints game (sadly could not get the Cowboys) Then afterwards Barnes and I curled up on the couch and watched Dirty Dancing! I love how you get the little butterflies in your stomach just thinking about this movie! Or at least I do!

My favorite parts are . . .
The ending dance - that part is wonderful! Then when he is lip synching "Now I've had the time of my life . . . and I owe it all to you!"

Thank you Patrick Swayze for all your dedication and hard work!

Happy 2 months MONKEY!

Today Barnes is 2 months! WOW how time has flown. I try really really hard to savor every waking moment with him. I love being a mama so much! Each day I am totally amazed by him, I could just stare at him all day long! He is the most beautiful thing in the world to me!
2 months of accomplishments:
You started Rice cereal
You started Bananas
You have traveled to the Beach already
You sleep 8 hours a night
You love to sleep on your tummy with supervision
You smile all the time
You are happiest in the morning
You love to be held
You love for someone to talk to you
You can hold your head up for a long time
You are truly AMAZING!
I am sure there are so many other milestones. So HAppy 2 months in this world Baby Barnes!
I am so thankful for you each and every day and cannot wait (yes I can) to see what an amazing man you turn out to be! I love you!

BIG Labor Day weekend!

Well our weekend started out great! One of Lance's best friends came in town for the weekend! So Friday night we had Hollie and Ryan, Jeremy and Emily and Spencer over for dinner. We had a great time visiting with everyone. This was Barnes' first time to meet his "Uncle" Spencer and he loved him!

Below is Barnes sitting with his Daddy and his "Uncle" Jeremy!
Below is Barnes eating Banana's for the first time - he loves them!

Saturday all the boys went dove hunting in Jonesville so me, Barnes and Emily shopped. I hate shopping for muself now but LOVE to shop for Barnes

Sunday was the day of Pop Pop's party! (Lance's dad) We threw him a 60th Birthday party at the lake. It was a great crowd and Barnes was a hit! Sorry no pictures from the party. Not sure what I was thinking. But the fish was great and so was the company!

We ended up staying at the lake and headed home on Monday. Once we returned home we were lazy lazy bums! All three of us took a great nap!

Hope everyone had a great labor day weekend!
